"We can't blame ourselves, we're only alone"

To make it short. It's a song about loneliness, depression, and the toxicity of most human relationships, and more particularly the permanent emotional blackmail that results from it: with your family, friends, lovers, in your professional environment... not to mention all these bands or artists that you have to work all day long like "Hey y’all ! We released a new album that took 5 years to finish (including 3 years for mastering even if we still don't know what it means), and our new video cost us 12000 euros in drone, filming in Uzbekistan, 3D make-up, 4K camera, and organic wild trout appetizers, it would be nice if you could give us 4 comments, 12 likes, that you share it with your entire phone book, otherwise we would be tempted to consider you garbage, even traitors to the cause". Nobody really has time for that anymore, some have understood it, others less so.

Besides, one day someone will have to talk about this ridiculous "race for visibility" tacitly maintained by artists and the public, with the complicity of certain intermediaries who are the only ones to really benefit from it. To our great regret, this is a subject that most bands don't dare to talk about among themselves, or even among their members.

The video for "Man of The Hour" was shot just a few days ago between 2 and 3 a.m. on the stairs of my apartment building (and during my dog Fiona's late-night walk). I take this opportunity to apologize to my neighbors who will never know where the noises came from. This is one of the many advantages of our level of notoriety.

The first traces of writing this song date from April 20, 2022 at 1 a.m. and the first real rehearsals of the piece go back to January 2023.

Please note that we will soon share for the first time the separate tracks of this song on Bandcamp before the post-mixing/mastering stage. If some of you are curious about our work or if you have the desire to remix/rework it, do not hesitate to have a look.
