Like many hipsters and hardcore fans, we watched on Disney+ when it was released at the end of 2021 the incredible documentary “Get Back” on the Beatles. Unconditional fan of the song "Don't Let Me Down", I was delighted. Billy never really understood my interest in this song among a discography as varied, unlimited and tube-like as the one of the Beatles. Sure. But for me, DLMD has always been the absolute “pop” song. So "universal" (the very definition of "pop") that every version un every style seems possible…

...hence the idea (stupid or brilliant) to make a "bossa nova" version of it (or almost).

The cover found its way quite easily in Staircase Paradox, was quickly formed and refined afterwards. Even in concert (at the Bus Palladium on March 4 and at the Supersonic on April 8, 2022) it was a real pleasure to play it. On November 27, we organized a small confidential "snack and music" afternoon in our rehearsal/recording studio. It was an opportunity to spend a moment of sharing cakes and drinks together, punctuated by acoustic sessions. We played a set of three songs several times on this occasion. These tracks will be released in 2023, starting with this first : “Hey! Secret Show: Don't Let Me Down, Take #2".
